Following a six-month consultative review with newsroom leaders and academic ethicists, the WPFUK General Assembly has formally ratified guidelines concerning artificial intelligence in media production.
The guidelines mandate that human journalists remain strictly accountable for all published material, that synthetic media generation be visibly attributed, and that automated tools never substitute rigorous primary source verification.
